Fantastic club that I have trained at for 17 years! If you want a great friendly club then this one is for you. Made some very good friends here and all kinds of styles and sparring. If you want to grade you can but if not it’s perfectly fine to do that to! Great for kids too!

I've trained at Streetwise since 2004. Chief instructor is Richard Farmer, who is a superb instructor, very patient and has a great sense of humour. I am very pleased to able to call him not just my sensei but a very good friend. If you looking for a friendly, clean and well run dojo/martial arts studio where everybody leaves the BS/ego's at the front door then I can honestly say Streetwise will welcome you like a long lost brother. I think its fair to say its not a hardcore MMA gym where you train to be a cage fighter. But if you're looking to be pushed outside your comfort zone to get fit and train in a safe friendly environment. Streetwise will be prefect for you.

Streetwise is a friendly and inclusive club suitable for all ages and abilities.

Richard has been fantastic with my 6 year old son, who has not only learned how to handle difficult situations, he’s really grown in confidence and learnt to take responsibility for his own health and fitness. I also enjoy taking part in Streetwise’s Street Defence class on a Saturday morning, it is a great way for my son and I to spend time together and share a common interest.

The instructors at streetwise are hugely experienced and the members of Streetwise are always willing to help and encourage each other, which makes streetwise is a truly supportive, professional and fun club to be part of.

Amazing club that become family! Brilliant place to get fit , gain confidence learn self defence, keep healthy and so much more.

I can't recommend Streetwise enough.

My son went to self defence classes with Richard prior to Covid, intermittently for a year or so. Yesterday he was on his way to university in London, when a man tried to mug him. He remembered what he had been taught, and I am delighted to say that he came away unhurt and still in possession of his wallet!
